The City's Review + Decision Process
The City has committed to continually improving the Integrated Development Ordinance (IDO) through an annual update process.
Planning staff submitted the 2020 Annual Update into the City's review/decision process on November 30, 2020. Council voted to adopt the update and associated amendments on Thursday, June 17, 2021.
The review/decision process had three steps:
- Step 1: Environmental Planning Commission (EPC) - COMPLETE
- Step 2: City Council's Land Use, Planning, and Zoning (LUPZ) Committee - COMPLETE
- Step 3: City Council - COMPLETE

City Council voted to approve the 2020 IDO Annual Update on Thursday, June 17th, 2021.

- Amendments Proposed on June 17th
- Cannabis Amendments proposed for 6/17 - revised and posted prior to the meeting on 6/17/21
- Note 2 new amendments as of 6/14: B20 and B21
- B6 revised to include more specific language and updated references in the Cannabis definition and to add a clarifier on “residential zone district”
- B7 is removed from consideration as the revised B8 covers the same topic
- Revised B8 to add the language from B12
- Revised B12 to strike language added to B8
- Revised B18 to exempt the flammable uses and to add cultivation to amendment.
