City Leaders Academy - March 2024
City Leaders Academy was held on March 2nd, 2024 at the Don Newton – Taylor Ranch Community Center.
The topic of focus was Overlay Zones in the Integrated Development Ordinance:
- Attendees visited stations specific to each overlay zone
- Focus was placed on how to use interactive online mapping tools
The session presentations included:
- The Integrated Development Ordinance and Comprehensive Plan
- Community Planning Areas
IDO 2023 Annual Update Training
Planning staff held trainings in August 2024 highlighting changes made to the IDO during the 2023 Annual Update.
City Leaders Academy - December 2023
The 2023 City Leaders Academy was held on December 2nd, 2023 in the historic Special Collections Library, Botts Memorial Hall meeting room.
The topic of focus was historic places in Albuquerque:
- Attendees learned about how historic sites and historic neighborhoods are protected and preserved.
- Shared with City staff what places are historically and culturally important in their neighborhoods.
The session presentations also explored traditional forms of multi-generational housing and small and family-owned businesses.
