How to Use This Matrix
If you are reading policies in the Comp Plan and see a footnote indicating that language has been rolled in from an adopted plan, do the following to find out where the language comes from:
1. Look for the footnote number in the endnotes at the end of the chapter you are reading. Each endnote includes the name of the existing Plan that includes that policy, as well as a number in brackets that refers to a row number in this policy spreadsheet.
2. Go to the row number in the spreadsheet to see the adopted language, see the chapters in which that policy appears, the policy number(s) in the Comp Plan where it appears, and a total number of times it appears in the document .
If you are concerned about a particular existing plan and how its policies were incorporated into the Comp Plan, do the following:
1. Find the relevant plan in the Policy Spreadsheet. They are organized alphabetically by plan title, or you can do a search by plan title in the PDF.
2. Note where each policy was used in the updated Comp Plan. The numbers in each Chapter column indicate the policy number in the updated Comp Plan.
3. Total column colors indicate the following:
Green - the policy only appears once
Blue - the policy appears in the document more than once
Pink - the policy does NOT appear in the document. See the Notes column to see why.
4. Go to the updated Comp Plan chapter where a particular policy appears, and find the policy number referenced in the matrix under each chapter to compare the updated language.
5. The project team has done its best to track each and every policy, but, we're sure that as they say, mistakes were made. Please bring errors to our attention: abctoz@cabq.gov .
